Reasons for customs declaration

Because the customs is not aware of the details of the goods during the customs clearance operation, it is necessary for the owner of the goods to prepare the details of the goods in a declaration to be submitted to the customs. After customs approval for the declared goods, the owner of the goods is allowed to clear, export and load his goods.

Necessary documents to submit the declaration

The customs declaration is presented in two copies along with the date and signature and all the required documents such as purchase invoices, bank documents, certificate of origin and other necessary permits to the customs. Customs clearance, from the submission of a customs declaration to the clearance and loading of goods, can be performed by the owner of the goods or his legal representative. Transport companies can also do this as the owner’s representative.

If the legal representative performs customs operations instead of the owner, the owner’s representative needs to attach a power of attorney or agency or a photocopy of it to the invoice, certificate of origin, bank documents, pre-invoice, billing list and other permits for delivery. Return to customs.

It is very important that the specifications and details of the goods are fully and accurately stated in the declaration. The slightest mistake or shortcoming in the information provided can be a waste of time and energy. According to Article 59, acceptance of goods in warehouses and customs places and clearance of goods is done when the customs declaration has been delivered to the customs.

Procedures for customs declaration

In order to prepare a customs declaration, information must first be entered. The company or individual who imports or exports the goods, enters the information and specifications of the goods and their exact value and must be accepted. Then it reaches the stage of customs control and the assessor examines all the cases and if approved, signs the declaration and delivers it to the relevant expert.

Finally, if the receipt provided with the amount is approved by the system, the cashier will confirm the customs license and the clearance and payment permit will be issued. If there is no compliance with the declarations submitted with the goods or it is not done correctly, the customs will fine them according to their differences and evaluation.

If the declaration offers other tariffs with the intention of paying less tolls, he will pay a heavier fine.
